- Plant hope. Restore nature. Rebuild connection -

DONATE A TREE

When you donate a tree in the Grootvadersbosch Conservancy,
you’re doing more than planting in the soil.

You’re planting hope, restoring humanity’s bond with nature and creating a living legacy that will grow in impact over the coming centuries.

The Grootvadersbosch Conservancy has launched an active restoration programme alongside our invasive alien clearing work.

Where nature can no longer recover on its own, we’re giving it a helping hand: planting and propagating indigenous trees
and plants in our own nursery, and planting them back into disturbed areas.

But this project is about so much more than trees and plants: It’s about people.
Through this work, men and women from rural communities are developing new skills, finding jobs
and rediscovering a love for plants and nature.

Our goal: To plant 1000 trees in the next year, raising R150,000 for the restoration activities, and supporting livelihoods in our nursery.

Your gift helps the
Grootvadersbosch Conservancy

- Restore indigenous forests and other natural areas where nature can’t recover on its own

- Protect biodiversity and bring balance back to damaged landscapes

- Create jobs and build skills in rural communities

- Inspire a renewed love for plants and the natural world

But just as important:
your donation helps you connect back to nature too.

Our world needs people who believe in protecting what matters – who know the joy of giving back to the Earth and leaving it richer than they found it. By donating a tree, you join a community of people working to rebuild not only nature, but also our shared humanity – one that is kinder to the planet.

And because every action deserves to be celebrated, each donated tree will also be represented with a colourful flag on the Grootvadersbosch Tree artwork designed by Magpie Art Collective – a living, lasting symbol of your generosity and connection.

“I thought a tree was just a tree and a plant was just a plant. Now (since the launch of this restoration project) I know their names, I talk to them, and I love them.”
