WHY? Alien trees utilise significantly more water than indigenous vegetation and by removing them, you assist in protecting habitat for the critically endangered Tradouw Redfin (also sometimes called the Barrydale Redfin) which is found only in the Huis Catchment. Restoring indigenous vegetation will also increase biodiversity and the overall health of the riparian system |
