WHAT YOU MUST KNOW:
|
COWS & FENCE BRIDGES: You’ll be riding through some of the most productive dairy farms in South Africa.
These cows give us milk, cheese, yogurt, butter and ultimately chocolate. We therefore ask that you treat them with the
respect deserved. The fence bridges were also built to mainly keep the cows safe so ride with caution.
REMEMBER: NOT ALL BRIDGES ARE RIDE-ABLE FOR ALL LEVELS OF RIDERS.
If you’re unsure, please walk. You’re riding entirely at your own risk, so please be safe.
NEED A BIKE? You can hire a very basic mountain bike for your trip.
AND A GUIDE? A specialised mountain bike guide can lead you through the conservancy’s valley and mountains.
PLEASE NOTE
THE OLD CONSERVANCY MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAIL THROUGH CAPENATURE IS NOW CLOSED AND
CONSERVANCY PERMITS ARE CURRENTLY NOT FOR SALE FROM THE CAPENATURE OFFICE.
The Conservancy office is 1km up the road from CapeNature’s Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve.
