Over the last four years, in partnership with the Department of Environment, Landowners and Landcare, the Conservancy has removed invasive vegetation from over 56km of riparian edge in the Duiwenhoks and Buffeljags Rivers. This is having a dramatic impact on the amount of water returned to the system as well as improved flood control and increased biodiversity. We have also cleared over 5000ha of invasive vegetation from indigenous mountain fynbos and renosterveld.
